ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: @katherineherrellart

Here at Elena Essex we are proud to support women artists and share their beautiful artwork on our puzzles! Our Artist Spotlight is a way for us to introduce the artists we have grown to know and love, as well as show our appreciation for the contribution they have given our puzzles and the puzzle community.

Our 2nd spotlight features one of our most beloved artists, who created several favorites like Butterfly Beauty and Seashells! She is also the artist behind our new Autumn puzzle: Pumpkin Patch. ✨

Katherine Herrell is an illustrator and designer living in Atlanta, GA with her husband and two young daughters. Her signature approach combines traditional mediums such as gouache, watercolor, and colored pencils, finessed with a hint of technology. Katherine honed her skills byworking for over a decade as in-house artist and product designer with several well-known manufacturers. She now works happily as a freelance artist in her home studio. Her playful designs often feature vibrant colors, flowers, enchanting animals, and uplifting phrases. She’s inspired by the wonders of nature, retro florals, and folk-style art. In her spare time, Katherine can be found reading on her back porch or coloring at her kitchen table with her children.
